A Novena to the Queen of Heaven, Our Lady of Good Help by Edward LooneyOn October 9, 1859, a Belgian immigrant in Wisconsin named Adele Brise received a message and mission from the Queen of Heaven to pray for the conversion of sinners and teach the children. Today, the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help commemorates the apparition and is regarded as the only ecclesiastically approved Marian apparition site in the United States. This nine-day novena, which includes daily intentions intimately connected to the story of the shrine, can be used in a variety of ways, including: to honor the October anniversary, in preparation for a pilgrimage, or as a thanksgiving for graces received at the shrine.
