This report contains proceedings of a meeting of Regional Advisory Process (RAP) Coordinators and Canadian Science Advisory Secretariat (CSAS) officers in Ottawa in January 2003. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss science peer review and advisory issues for the coming year. Each RAP Coordinator presented a summary of regional activities and issues. Several national topics were also addressed, including best practices in science advice, and species at risk. The appendices include a framework for the effective use of science and technology advice in government decision making.
