Introduction to Comparative Entomology
註釋This is a book about insects, myriapods and arachnoids written for zoologists. It is intended primarily to serve the needs of those who teach or study entomology as an academic subject and it assumes that the student using it has previously completed at least one full course in general zoology or general biology. Because its concern is with insects, myriapods and arachnoids as animals, this book emphasizes information often given little attention in introductorey entomology texts: comparative morphology, physiology, embryology and evolution. We believe this is the information needed by the zoologist who my study only one course in entomology. At the same time, it represents a sound foundation for further work, including that of the future professional entomologist.
