Hiking Trails, Eastern United States
註釋For the hiking enthusiast, nothing is more frustrating than planning the trek. How long is the trail? Is it in a state park? Is there a campground nearby? While there are many books available to answer such questions, they are either not comprehensive or they are geographically narrow. There has been no single source that a hiker might consult for any trail in the eastern United States. Until now. State-by-state, this book provides concise information on nearly 5,000 trail or hiking areas in the United States east of the Mississippi. Each entry includes the name of the trail or area, its address, and a telephone number that hikers may call for detailed, up-to-the-minute information. For areas, the names of multiple trails are listed. Many entries also provide the distance of the trail, its type (e.g., loop or straight), and awards that might be available.
