桃花源記
註釋A vernacular rendition for youth of the classic, "Peach Blossom Spring" by Jin dynasty bucolic poet Tao Yuanming (365427). The poem is a metaphor for utopia. The country was in disarray in Tao's time. The corruption and unprincipled court prompted Tao's resignation. Tao famously said that he will "not abandon his principles for a meager existence."
