註釋This monograph presents 13 paintings and one sculpture that demonstrate a new refinement in Ellsworth Kelly's work. In each of the paintings a rectangular canvas is painted with numerous layers of white paint, on top of which the artist affixes a (usually) black canvas. With their sharp diagonals and dramatic curves, these reliefs are among the most dynamic of Kelly's career.
