註釋John Atkinson was born 7 Oct 1818 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. He immigrated to the United States in 1848, to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He married Sarah Boyden 13 Aug 1839 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. She was born in 3 January 1816 in Halesworth, Suffolk, England. She immigrated to the United States in 1849. Sarah died in 25 March 1901, in Stoughton, Dane, Wisconsin. John died in 1 April 1901 in Stoughton, Dane, Wisconsin. They had five children. Descendants have lived mainly in England, Maine, Wisconsin, South Carolina, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, California, and elsewhere.
