Vicente Blasco Ibanez (1867-1928) was an influential Spanish screenwriter, film director, and novelist. He is best known for Los cuatro jinetes del apocalipsis (The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse), set in World War I, which was filmed in English in 1921 and again in 1962 (when it was set in World War II).
