註釋William Tanner (b.ca.1660), a direct ancestor of John Joshua Tanner, emigrated from England to Westerly, Rhode Island about 1679, and married three times. John Joshua Tanner became a Mormon convert and moved to Utah. Descendants lived in Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, California and elsewhere.
