Abstract: "Information Resource Management (IRM) and VerksamhetsBaserad Systemstrukturering (VBS), which can be translated into 'activity based information systems structuring', are two different strategies for information systems architectures. In this paper these two strategies are described and then compared both in a theoretical and an empirical sense. A number of criteria have been developed and later used in two case studies, from which the conclusions of this paper are drawn."
