Jacob and Esau are two important figures in the bible that shape the world, Jacob became Israel by default and Esau became Israel by conversion. The two started fighting and racing from the womb over the blessings of their father, Esau won the race and deserve the blessings but eventually Jacob got it by falsification.

And this begins the hatred of Esau towards Jacob, but Esau got one piece of advice from his father to get power and dominion and you will break off his yokes from of thy shoulder and this Esau seek and get indeed.

At the time of Roman conquest Esau had taken over the kingship of Israel, king Herod was the king of Jews by the time Yeshua came and Yeshua was rejected by the Jews.

Edomites seems to be gone forever but Edom is still with us, and he is at large. Edomites influence the Jews and the Gentiles particularly the Romans.

It was actually Jacob that was gone and that is why the savior will come in the End to restore Israel but this time around it will be the spiritual Israel, the genuine believers.
