Ionic Nature of Molten Salts
註釋In the present investigations a concern was to develop the experimental techniques necessary for precise measurements of the physical and electrical properties of molten salts at temperatures to 1000C. The experimental studies were limited to that class of inorganic salts in which the structural units in the crystal state are wholly or predominantly ionci. Extensions of studies to salts in which simple molecular species may be recognized in the crystal state was part of the work. Knowledge of the structure and interactions present in these relatively simple salts after fusion is essential to develop the broad unifying concepts for the theoretical treatments of molten salts. As part of the program, a continuing survey of the published literature of molten salts was maintained to consolidate the many but somewhat sporadic contributions in this field.
