Shattered Dreams
註釋Twenty years earlier I had been driving about with my mates - to celebrate passing my driving test - dad had bought me a brand new car. Everything was going great that afternoon until: A brand new 1990 blue Ford Orion drove into her, tossing her body in the air, before she smacked straight into the pavement in front of me. She was dead. Inside the car was a youthful me and a couple of friends. They froze in horror, staring at her. I was about to get out of the car, but Dave nagged me to drive on. And so I did. The biggest mistake of my life. Everything, from the fleeing car to the body of the girl, vanished like the wind. A skeleton in my closet, which I thought I would get away with, had returned. - From Urban London by Jason Brawn.
