He heads for a Greek island with his daughter Miranda, hoping to come to terms both with his Greek roots and with nature. Nature greets him there in the figure of Kalibanos, a lascivious goatherd whose primal innocence has already been corrupted by pop music and the television programs he watches on the Sony T.V. in his cave.
