Mutants, those born with strange powers, through genetic mutation, are not only hated and feared, but brutally murdered in the streets by U.S. sanctioned killing machines. Driven by a dream of peace, Professor X gathers his mutant soldiers, his X-Men, to try and bring sanity to an insane world. But can he forge his band of misfits into a strike force capable of defending the Earth from the evil Magneto and his Brotherhood and even from the very humans they seek to protect.
