Cowboys and Ranchlands
註釋"Having a camera was a great excuse to be able to visit a lot of ranches," writes photographer Con Haffmans. "[My images] are 'documentary style' photos. I shoot it as I see it and I don't pose anything. To catch snapshots this way is not easy, but one thing is for sure: you are getting the real thing." Since 1990, Haffmans has traveled the American West, photographing cowboys at work and the environments that define their identities. The resulting body of work, Cowboys & Ranchlands, is an honest and unparalleled tribute to the working cowboy, complete with insightful commentary by Haffmans, who offers poignant observations on western landscapes, horses and friendship.
