註釋Memoirs of a Jewish woman (born in 1921 in Warsaw) who lived in Płońsk, Poland. Describes life in the ghetto of Płońsk, her deportation to Auschwitz, and her slave labor in various satellite camps of Auschwitz. She survived a year in Bodi, a labor camp in the Auschwitz complex, and assisted in the preparations for the revolt in Auschwitz in November 1944. In January 1945 she was taken on a death march to the Ravensbrück concentration camp, where she worked in some of the branch camps, mainly in Malchow. In April 1945 she escaped from a death march from Malchow and was liberated shortly afterwards by the Soviet army. Her family had settled in Palestine in 1924 but had returned to Poland after a few years; they did not survive the war. Kroin emigrated to Palestine in 1947.
