Five Macaranga species, M, tanarius, M. hulletti, M. conifera, M. gigantae and M. hosei, have been investigated in connection with their volatile natural products in chemical ecology. From the leaf extractions several volatile components were tentatively identified mainly by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. [Authors' abstract].
