註釋
I once likened composing poems to wine making. I suggested, the majority of poetry written, although palatable, is often not worthy of a gold medal. Occasionally though, a poet produces a fine vintage that lingers on our mind's palette. Just as there are numerous factors to consider in wine-making, so too in composing poetry; Jeremy Gadd, in his latest collection of poems, has mastered the processes that go to make up a memorable drop.Jeremy's poetry covers a wide range of interesting subjects, bringing his own inimitable thought-provoking points of view and unusual but appropriate phases. Space does not permit me to pick from the numerous exquisite phrases Jeremy uses, but the extent of his published work is sufficient evidence of his ability to demand readers' attention.
I urge would be readers to drink deeply from Jeremy's latest collection.

For some time, I have been an admirer of Jeremy's surgical-grade poetry. It comes from the hand of an artist whose old soul is capable of x-ray observations about the reasons we cry and the triggers that disarm. Deep within his stanzas are thoughts denuded to reveal truths too painful to accept, were it not for the hypnotising rhythm of poetry's playful mask. After the smiles, come the revelations too personal to share; so we turn the page lest anyone perceive our fright. We then close the book and look heavenward to ponder our path and to query our fate. Jeremy makes us think, then he makes us feel. His poetry is indeed invasive.

Jeremy Gadd's latest collection of poetry Reflections While Flying on Empty is the work of a poet who has grown and matured and is now in full flight.Direct, reflective and sometimes personal and often twinged with humour, Jeremy's poems are observant, evocative of time, distance and intimacy, a sensitivity to place, intense and lyrical-a journey through life.
There is a depth of reflection, well observed and expressed. These poems remain in one's memory long after reading.
