註釋The main subject of the book is the documentation of the writings of Jonas, which deal with life, work and time of Thomas Mann. Other topics of this biobibliographical study and documentation are representatives of the classical modern age such as Broch, Hauptmann, Hesse, Kafka and Rilke. Also included are the publications of Jonas dealing with English literature and contemporary history (with reviews) as well as contributions of Thomas Mann, Golo Mann and W. Somerset Maugham to earlier publications of Jonas.The preface has been written by Thomas Sprecher (Thomas-Mann-Archiv Zurich). The documentation can be used by several indices. All texts are in German and English.
