Finding the Path
註釋For the individual who wishes to find out what mathematics is all about there are no simple shortcuts. One must work with the mathematics itself. In Finding the Path, Bengt Ulin shows through many examples that mathematics does not need to be a mechanical manipulation of symbols according to certain rules which must be memorized -- that mathematics can lead to other than a fixation with answers, a phenomenon which hinders the student from seeing the actual road. His book helps the reader to discover patterns and structure and leads the reader to much of the beauty which mathematics has to offer. Will be useful to active Waldorf teachers and teachers-to-be as well as many high school students.
