The Man from Snowy River
註釋The poem, "The Man from Snowy River", by Banjo Paterson was first published in April 26, 1890. Written at a time when Australia was discovering its national identity. This epic poem captures the bush adventure that, at the pinnacle, tells of the brumbies' daring descent down an impossibly steep slope where the pursuing riders give up their chase. Except one young unproven mountain horseman, the man from Snowy River, spurs his horse down the "terrible descent" to catch the mob no one else could heel and becomes a legend in his own right.
