The completion of the European internal market in 1992 and the challenge from Japanese industry has stimulated growing interest in government funding of European collaboration in advanced technology. This book examines European collaboration in detail. The various approaches to implementing government funding are discussed, as well as providing an overview on the justifications for such funding.
