J. Ross Browne: An Opportunity and a Bottle of Wine
註釋Paper written for Professor James D. Hart's English 250 class, based on a letter, June 20, 1866, from J. Ross Browne to James A. Garfield, in the Library of Congress. Includes a copy of the letter, which transmitted some bottles of California wine, on behalf of the California wine producers, to protest a tax on alcohol; and a commentary on Browne's connection with California, his association with Agoston Haraszthy and the organization of the California Wine Growers Association.
