註釋Shows that, increasingly, international bodies have called for development finance institutions (DFIs) to take into account the promotion of decent working conditions when carrying out their investment operations, and demonstrates that in recent years, labour issues along with other social policy concerns have been progressively integrated into DFI operations. Most notably, in 2002, the World Bank publicly announced its support for all four Core Labour Standards (CLS) embodied in the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Rights and Principles (ILO, 1998). Provides an initial exploration of these developments by documenting the policies of 16 DFIs at the global, regional, and bilateral level that have integrated labour provisions in their investment policies. Mentions the Fundamental ILO Conventions.
