It has been said that the blood of an Iron Blood gives immortality. 

Ake, a rogue ninja and the last of the Iron Bloods, has done her best to act as the protector to the village of Hakone. Giving them food, medicine, and protection from the overreach of Shogun Zugai. 

Ake realizes that she will always be hunted for her blood and plans to leave Hakone, only to get word that an old friend is in danger. 

A trap has been set. Motions of the heart begin to stumble out of control. 

The extinction of the Iron Bloods seems set, when help from an unlikely source saves her at the last minute. Now on the run, Ake must decide between her life or that of her rescuer.
