EDOis the premierworkshopthatbringstogetherthe researchandpractice communityofsoftwareengineeringfordistributedobjects. Wereceivedabout30submissionsandtheinternationalprogramcommittee selected15papers. Weclusteredacceptedpapersintosessionsandtheauthors ofthesepaperschampionedthesessionsandtookaleadinthediscussions. The workshoporganizersselectedparticularauthorstogivebriefpresentationsthat wereaimedtokicko'thediscussionineachsession. Theresultofthedi'erent sessionswassummarizedattheendoftheworkshopandthesesessionsummaries areincludedintheseproceedings. Alsointraditionwiththeworkshopseries, wehadaninvitedindustrialp- sentation.
