Samson's Story
註釋"Sampson is a young elephant who gets separated from his herd during a raid by poachers and is left alone in the wild, an easy prey for lions and other predators. Instead, he is picked up by rangers and taken to a refuge loosely based on one in Nairobi, founded by Daphne Sheldrick. There he is hand-reared, using pioneering techniques developed at the Nairobi refuge until he can be returned to the wild. Much of the material has been drawn from The Empty Eden, a major book about endangered African wildlife also written by Mervyn Dykes. Sampson's Story includes a foreword, elephant facts, a quiz and a glossary"--Information from publisher's website.
