註釋The Park Legacy Project was a public consultation process intended to develop a publicly supported vision for the British Columbia protected areas system. This is the final report of the Project and begins with a vision to guide the effective administration and management of protected areas into the future, based on public input received and on the existing terms of the province's Protected Areas Strategy. This is followed by chapters that summarize the recurring themes from the public consultations, list recommendations for action, and provide background and rationale for those recommendations. The chapters cover the following subject areas: strengthening the way in which protected areas are governed; providing adequate resources to support the protected areas system; enhancing planning, management, and public education in protected areas; implications for legislation; and implementing Legacy Project outcomes. Includes glossary.
