The Diseases and Parasites of Alaskan Wildlife Populations
註釋Data on brucellosis in several Alaskan caribou herds during 1962 through 1965 are summarized. Serological data are segregated by area, date, sex, and titre. Three kinds of lesions have been found associated with natural infections of brucellosis in caribou (orchitis-epidydimitis, bursitis-synovitis, and metritis); each is discussed further. The Russian and American points of view regarding naming the causative organism of rangiferine brucellosis are briefly reviewed. Possible reservoirs of the disease are dogs, moose, rodents, other animals, and human interaction.
