註釋In this second book of memoirs, Anthony Winstanley describes his vain attempts to find work ashore after leaving the British Merchant Service to seek a new life in Canada. After a series of jobs, he made two voyages to Australia and New Zealand. These experiences reinforced his conviction that seafaring was the best life for him. He describes the South Sea Islands during the golden years of seafaring before the advent of jet planes and mass tourism.
