A Study of Simulation Errors Caused Bvy Algorithms of Forest Fire Growth Models
註釋Forest fire growth models (FGMs) simulate fire spread over spatially heterogeneous forest landscapes and over long periods with changing weather conditions. This paper reports on the attempt to validate these models. Simulation errors of a FGM arise from three major sources: (1) the availability and quality of input data, (2) the theoretical basis of the fire behaviour model, and (3) the fire growth algorithm. Errors caused by the algorithm are an indicator of the algorithm performance of FGMs. The authors studied the errors by assessing the algorithm performance of three FGMs: the FGM in BFOLDS (Boreal Forest Landscape Dynamics Simulator), Prometheus, and Wildfire. This report contains data on the methods used and the results obtained as well as a simulation error analysis.--Document.
