註釋Most of these are in the period 1870-1930, but a few date to the 18th century. They relate chiefly to the Civil War and Reconstruction in Virginia, to the Negro question, and to the Univ. of Virginia. Among the items are a Bermuda land plat, 1787, with signatures of Sarah Nash, James Perot, William Todd, Mallory Todd, John Jennings, Robert Jennings; a report by George Frederick Holmes, William Holmes McGuffey, and John B. Minor on the University of Virginia magazine, 1858; a description of the University in 1865; text of an anniversary address before the University of Virginia Jefferson Society.
