註釋Abstract: "Interactive graphics systems need techniques that allow the user to freely manipulate graphical objects in space. Using properties of the rotation group O(3) suggested by the behavior of a rolling ball, we show how a continuous two-dimensional motion can reach any point in the three-dimensional space of rotation-group parameters. Graphical objects can thus be rotated to any desired orientation without switching interaction modes using only a mouse of similar two-dimensional input device. We extend this basic concept to allow manipulation of objects obeying O(2,1) Lorentz transformation laws.
