Spremembe v stromi pri maligni preobrazbi polipoidnih adenomov širokega črevesa in danke
註釋Backround. Tumor stroma is a specialised tissue important for the tumor growthand nutrition. We have analysed stromal changes in early polypoid colorectal adenocarcinomas (PCRC). One of the main questions was the difference in the stroma composition between early PCRC and benign colorectal polyps. Methods and materials. A retrospective analysis was performed on biopsies of early colorectal polypoid adenocarcinoma (Dukes A, TI=72%, T2=28%). Adenomas with early malignant change (n=25), and three control groupsof polyps with stromal changes, adenomas (n=12), juvenile polyps (n=11) and polyps connected with rectal prolapse (n+11) were included in the study. Biopsy tissue specimens, fixed in neutral formalin and embedded in paraffin, were stained with haematoxilin and eosin, and Kreyberg methods. Stromal changes were analysed by immunohistochemical methods using the following antigensČ alpha-smooth muscle actin (alpha-SMA), von Willebrand factor (vWF), desmin, fibrinoctin, collagen III, collagen IV, laminin, Ki-67, CD68 and by the reaction with lectin Ulex Europaeus agglutinin-1 (UEA-1) for alpha-L-fucose. For statistical analysis, a nonparametric Wilcoxon rank sum test and Mann-Whitney test-U were used. The criterion for the statistical significance was P
