註釋
There are no better words than Hearts Set Free to describe the true and living reality Norman Grubb brought to the body of Christ in his rich 75 years of ministry. This truth of our lives bound in unfettered freedom in Christ is a treasure found in every book of the bible. As the Holy Spirit gives us eyes to see and ears to hear, this reality soars within us! In these Epistle talks Norman thoroughly explores God's untold wealth for man by bringing him into his full inheritance of a life of true freedom in our union with Christ. This freedom begins in knowing we died when we received Christ as our Savior and that from that moment on we live in a union of spirits - our spirit in oneness with His Spirit! Norman saw this truth in 1920 when the Holy Spirit revealed Galatians 2:20, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me..." and he wrote and spoke about this miracle the remainder of his life. Hebrews tells us, "There remains a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he has also ceased from his own works, as God did from His." This union rest is grounded in Romans 6:6, "knowing this that our old man is crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed..." and also in John 17:22-23, "That they may be one, just as We are one; I in them and You in Me". It is in resting in the finished work of Christ that we discover our own freedom. Let each of us examine ourselves in the faith. "Is my heart set free? Do I believe 'yet not I, but Christ'? Am I free from trying harder to 'be like' Jesus and from self-condemnation? "If the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." In Norman Grubb's words..."The New Testament is a covenant of the Spirit, not a covenant of words, of letter...the only reality in the church of Christ is people - people who are born of the Spirit, and filled with the Spirit, and bearing fruit of the Spirit. That is the same as saying that we are expressing Christ. This is the only gospel there is, the only truth there is!"
