The Farmer's Kid
註釋The Farmer’s Kid is a recollection of the childhood memories of the author, Stephen A. Hill. Stephen was one of four sons of a family making their livelihood from farming and a retail farm store in rural northern Vermont. The village, family businesses, and nearby surroundings provided numerous opportunities for mischief and Stephen recounts many comical and sometimes compromising situations. His common ailments and injuries, village happenings, school activities, and other antics are likely to trigger a childhood memory of your own. You may nod your head as you recognize the historical events that occurred during the era that became part of this young boy’s memories. And you may well laugh out loud as you picture a young bicyclist attempting to jump over six of his friends lying side by side. Such are the tales that Stephen would like to share with you as he remembers being The Farmer’s Kid.
