Lewis Johnson was born in Denmark on 12 March 1844. He was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1853. Soon after, he migrated to Utah and settled in Brigham City. He returned east several times to help other Momons come to Utah. Johnson also tells about his various occupations. He cut timber, worked on railroads, farmed, worked as a police officer, and was a member of the first Brigham City band. He married Susan Elizabeth Watkins and had nine children. The library has book 1 and book 3 of the collection. Book 2 is missing.
