"The Ends of Time" follows Gary and Josh as they infiltrate the dictator's house as part of their rebellion to prevent an attack on the past using time travel technology. The dictator allows aristocrats to purchase life insurance to ensure that their ancestors are placed together. The dictator's men are well-prepared for their arrival and attempt to eliminate the rebellion. Gary and Josh flee through the house, eventually stumbling upon a time portal. In a desperate move, Gary escapes through the time portal.

In the past, Gary watches the attack unfold and witnesses the arranged marriages of North America's wealthy, while the rest of the world's population is scattered across the globe over the years he spends there. Gary manages to reach the United States and stows away with an aristocrat's ancestors who are traveling to the future to witness unoccupied time.

Navigating through airport security androids, Gary finds Josh, who is five years away from the planned attack on the dictator's house. Despite lacking knowledge of the future, Gary convinces Josh of his true identity. As they are pursued by the dictator's androids, the younger Gary remains in hiding until he is eventually forced to join a fight he never knew existed.
