Letter 1812 Sept. 29, Savannah, to David B. Mitchell, Governor of Georgia , Milledgeville
註釋This is a letter dated September 29, 1812 from G.R. Duke in Savannah to David B. Mitchell, Governor of Georgia (1809-1813), in Milledgeville. Duke reports that he transmits with this letter the muster roll and inspection report ordered by General Floyd (neither of which survives with this letter), though he notes that he does not include information from the Camden County batallion, which has been busy fighting Indians on the frontier. Duke reports that he has been told that the Indians in that area have been very troublesome. He also refers to a receipt from two individuals for the body of Meshack Burney, pursuant to the governor's orders.
