Johannes Georg Lutz (d.1756) and his family emigrated in 1753 from the Palatinate of Germany (via Rotterdam) to Philadelphia, and settled in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Descendants and relatives lived in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Missouri, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois and elsewhere.
