註釋The original, overall objective of this work was to test the toxic and transition metals hypothesis in Spokane by evaluating the associations between ambient levels of particulate metal species (e.g., Sb, As, Cr, Co, Mn, Hg, selenium [Se], Cd, Ni, Zn, V) and cardiovascular or respiratory outcome measures using a multi-year timeseries epidemiological study. Particulate metals content was determined using a combination of EDXRF and INAA.
