註釋Glued onto the first page of this volume is the following letter: "Heacham Hall, Oct. 28 [18?]84: Dear Mrs Ferrers. Among my books is one of singular interest and if it were in good condition, it would be valuable. This is a paraphrase into Latin verse, of the famous poem of Aratus (a Cilician poet) from which S. Paul gives a quotation - in Acti XVII.28. This book belonged to your father - &, I dare say, was much prized by him. I therefore beg your acceptance of it. Dr Ferrers will, I am sure, look into it with curiosity. At worst you can give it to Corpus Library, or to your brother. I don't think it will pay for cleaning.
