Three Mullinax brothers, John, Matthew Sr., and Emmanuel migrated from Virginia to South Carolina prior to 1769 and settled in Cravens District. Their descendants and relatives lived chiefly in South Carolina, but some eventually migrated to Georgia, Texas, Indiana, Tennessee, California and elsewhere.
