Thomas Medical Systems Outsourcing Policy
註釋Case focuses on a large medical electronics firm which is refining its outsourcing policies and the new ways in which it needs to work with its suppliers. The firm begins with an objective to purchase assemblies instead of components. This objective evolves until the supplier takes over a large part of the engineering design as well as the product database creation and maintenance. Many problems are encountered, but the product comes to market and is successful. This case originally written in 1998, revised in 2002 and was a 1999 EFMD award winner.
