Looking for That City
註釋Moving from darkness into God's Light...

...is accomplished by moving from extreme thinking to a renewed and rebalanced mind, The renewal requires introspection, both to know the course and to pursue the course; freed from the burdens which push the higher passions and promises out of our lives.

No matter the burdens - mental illness, the consequences of abuse, or one's own sins - they can be overcome. First, believe that failure is not final. Then hold to God's purpose for this life, while trusting Him for the glorious prize in the life to come.

Those who yearn to overcome emotional darkness must be confident in their kinship with Christ. They must trust the faith on which their hope is grounded. For when our lives are tested in the crucible, our core beliefs must withstand the heat. If not, we'll never find our way from darkness and into the true Light, Jesus.

For those who have struggled too long in darkness, trust God's power to overwhelm your suffering. From within the fiery crucible of your innermost darkness, God's blessings are revealed. From the darkest trials, your highest dreams are born in the full light of Jesus' leading; even the highest dream of Heaven.
