註釋
Earth Child vol 1. In the Arms of Gaea, I s the first part of a trilogy of poems and prose by David Charles Rowan, illuminating life on Earth. In her foreword, Dr Márcia Dáromck writes; 'In Welsh, Cornish and Breton language, the word Awen means '(poetic) inspiration' or flowing spirit. It derives from the root -uel (to blow) and awel (breeze). The individual who is divinely inspired is called an Awenydd; he who enchants the world through the magic of language, a speaker of the mysteries. And that is precisely what David is; an Awenydd. His poetry cherishes Life and cherishes Gaea, the primal mother Earth goddess in Greek tradition. Gaea is the personification of the Earth; our great, all giving, ancestral mother of all life. David is unique. He is the only astrologer, musician, poet, hypnotherapist and healer trained in the ancient crafts, who is living in a sacred heritage landscape; surrounded by ancient sites of power, merely steps from a five thousand year old pyramid with a Dragon Ley-line crossing his healing room...wow! An emissary of love, kindness and compassion, David sings a melody in his poems that opens my heart. I hear ancient wisdom delivered in seemingly simple verses. I hear the simplicity, and yet, the complexity of life hidden in riddles and rhymes. His wisdom inspires and brings clarity, illuminating that which many cannot see. David speaks of the heart. The noble, brave yet vulnerable heart of humanity. His poetry dialogues with the water that flows, the flame that burns, the earth's abundance that sustains and the wind that blows carrying messages of love. Also with the sky; Moon, Sun, Gods and Goddesses, where finding our place in existence becomes a playful and deep experience.
