註釋Exponent of the architecture designed in Minas Gerais since the years 1980, the work of Gustavo Penna is symbol of contemporary construction in Brazil. In front of the architectural firm GPA&A since 1974, the book offers a panorana of 40 years of architectural creation. Divided into three thematic notebooks this edition explores the creative process of the architect, his references, projects, and final results. "The design of the book is inspired by the ladder Ventura, a conceptual work, and its structure is reflected in content and form of the book," says Beatriz Magalhaes, coauthor of the book, written in partnership with Gustavo Penna from an extensive interview with the architect. The first part of the book compiles aesthetic references and affective memories of Penna, a miscellany of images titled "Fragments of Memory"; the second book relates to the architect's creative process, in which he describes their directions, and, in the end, are presented many works from the architectural firm GPA&A.
