註釋
Three trees, a father, a mother and a wee tree lived in a wood on the side of a mountain. One Christmas, as they hear the beautiful music rising up from the village, one song made them very sad. Two little orphans were cold, and never had a Christmas tree. The Wee Tree offered to go and be their tree. He pulled himself out by the roots and skimmed down the mountain. Aided by the birds and squirrels, he donned beautiful icicles, berries, and a shining star. The birds and squirrels gathered twigs to burn in the fireplace, and the children woke to a beautiful Christmas morning.
