Three scrapbooks containing 184 bookplates. The bookplates are mounted on recycled paper pamphlet covers and arranged alphabetically. The collection was compiled by former New York Academy of Medicine librarian Frank Place, Jr. The scrapbooks also contain several letters related to the exchange of bookplates. It appears Place collected the bookplates in the 1920s and 1930s. Additional bookplates were added after the collection had been accessioned.
